Acura is ramping in the style factor on its crossover range using the new CDX. Targeted limited to china market, the Acura CDX makes its public debut now in the Beijing auto show and continues purchase this This summer.
When the fundamental form of the Acura CDX looks familiar, it’s because we’ve spent a lot time checking the Honda HR-V. That subcompact crossover can serve as the foundation for the latest Acura, using the primary styling distinction backward and forward models from the front fascia. The CDX draws its gaping polygonal grille opening, giant faux air intakes, and significant creasing from the feel of the Acura Precision Concept we had in the Detroit auto show (that styling also managed to get to the new Acura MDX).
Underneath the hood, the Acura CDX uses single.5-liter turbo-four engine as well as an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with front- and all sorts of-wheel-drive versions available. It will likely be the initial Acura model created in China, using the vehicle set to produce in a Honda plant in Guangzhou City this summer time. Acura states the vehicle is targeted “primarily” in the Chinese market, signaling it will not be offered in the usa.
It’s clear to see why Acura wouldn’t recycle for cash the CDX plus the Honda HR-V within the U.S., although it wouldn’t do without precedent. Vehicle sells both Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore here, although the two models are basically identical people.
